- Carl Jung
Swiss psychologist and founder of Analytical Psychology (1875 - 1961)
Jungian Sand Tray enlists the process of a playful and clinical way to work with a variety of clients -- adult’s adolescents and children.
A Jungian approach to sand tray play allows the client to open the portal to unconscious, intuitive, instinctual and free associations that informs the therapeutic field between client and therapist. This inner demand of unconscious material comes forward providing important and necessary meaning making images and content for the therapeutic encounter. Deeply buried psyche unconscious images emerge silently and carefully from trauma, PTSD, depression, loss and grief for the therapist and client to begin to work with in the therapeutic relationship.
